My family and friends were growing weary of hearing yet another idea. But, I knew this idea had legs as soon as my husband mentioned it. It was December 2007, and our family was decorating our Christmas tree. Wouldnt it be great if we had Christmas ornaments with sketches of the buildings at Virginia Tech. This made perfect sense because half of our Christmas tree was Virginia Tech ornaments - and because my father-in-law has a wonderful talent for drawing buildings and landscapes. With a little ingenuity…and a whole lot of luck, Ive created a business that marries my father-in-laws drawings with memorable Christmas ornaments. And, Ive been able to bring our idea to life.
